i woke up myself
this morning with
a fart

the kind of fart
that sounds like
it could have been
something more
than just a fart

but i didn't
immediately
race down to the
bathroom to check

i stayed in the bed
for a few minutes
pretending i just
hadn't woke up
myself from this
amazing dream
with a fart

eventually, i
made it down
to the bathroom

pulled down my
underwear and
sat on the toilet

there was nothing
in my underwear

a strange sense
of disappointment
came over me

and to think i was
at the part of the
dream where i just
knew she was going
to say yes
