Tonight:
my sweat is scented different
it teases, you say
as you nestle between
my humor and my blade.
Nothing sweet scented,
loaded with the wildest longings
I carry within me.
I have gathered
the pressures of the day
into my sweat
the toil of it
in my body, its aches.
You meditate upon,
pamper it with
your exquisitely crafted
maleness, the harshness
that gratifies and sustains.
Tonight
I do not push you away.
