by Korea J. Brownstein
I fell in love, lost my mind
too late to find nowhere to hide.
My heart was placed on death row,
the switch was flipped and it went cold
No use for words,
no need to beg
what was no longer is.
Licked by flames, taken away,
my wounds began to heal,
but the devil played another tune
Love is the devil’s gift.

Nice. I'm not a poetry expert, but I'm definitely finding some things I like here at the saloon.
