by Niles Champeaux
Damage inflicted, oblivious to its lethal poison
Blinded by the infamous half curse
Innocence and naivety provided an easy path to her heart
Even after he ripped it all to shreds
She still tried to piece it all back together
She thought she could use what she had always held so dear
But past promises arent always a reliable adhesive
Struggling to dismiss the elephant in the room as illusion
She begged and pleaded for reassurance
Noone able to give her the advice she wanted to hear
But so badly needed
Sinking in her misery
He silently snuck onto the last lifeboat
Leaving her somberly awaiting his embrace
Alone.
