Out of a fairy tale, she steps into the bar,
silver-tongued I coax and compliment her into my bed,
the next day sun,
harsh and direct,
reveals the fairy tale dead,
the illusion of enchantment last night,
fueled by alcohol and hormones,
we whisper our good byes with pounding heads.
